This is me on my first day of Kindergarten. An important day that launched me on my journey as a lifelong learner, and future educator.

 

As an educator and a creative, my methods focus on arts-integration and learning outside of traditional contexts. My students are encouraged to bring their own knowledge to the table, and to become autonomous in their learning.

 

I teach art literacy alongside visual arts skills and techniques, and help students understand how art impacts their life outside of taking pencil to page. In my teaching I give emphasis to the student’s process of making, and encourage them to create in a way that feels authentic to themselves.
